Brand new Logo – 50th Anniversary of Bicameralism.

I know its been a while since my last posting but I have been quite busy working on some new logos.

Monday December 19th 2011 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Bicameral Parliamentary system in Trinidad and Tobago and to commemorate this, the Speaker of the House of Representatives ( The Hon. Wade Mark ) and the President of the Senate ( The Hon. Timothy Hamel – Smith) will host a series of lectures. It was up to me to design a logo for the event.

Bicameral Logo

The design of the logo comes from the concept of bicameralism and incorporates key features of  Trinidad and Tobago’s parliamentary system.

The first of these features is the fact that the Parliament, while one entity, is comprised of two houses the Senate and The House of Representatives.

The logo is divided into two parts or “chambers” that represent the both Houses of Parliament.

The logo combines these entities into a clean, easily recognizable three-dimensional symbol.

The logo is able to feature the House of Representatives and the Senate individually and simultaneously by using the respective colors of each House of Parliament.

As usual I will post up developmental sketches for this.

Comments welcome.
